Fast food does not have to mean take-aways or greasy unhealthy stuff, it just means a meal that can be eaten within 10 or 20 minutes.

One of my favourites is “Salmon tagliatelle” -I know this sounds all fancy, but follow the recipe below and you will find that within a short time you will have a delicious meal. You could use this recipe for an elegant starter or even to impress someone (just serve it with a nice glass of white wine) you don’t have to tell anyone how easy it is.

You need from the pantry: milk, butter, flour, ketchup, dill, salt pepper, lemon
also needed: fresh pasta (can be shop bought) and pack of smoked salmon.

First you need to do a white sauce by adding a spoon of flour and butter to a pan over low heat and merge until a paste. Then add milk gradually (about 1/2 pint) stir or whisk until a thickened sauce.

Add a bit of Ketchup for a nice salmon colour, add dried dill, spritz of lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.

Cut salmon into small strips and add to sauce. Stir in and keep over low heat.
Boil salted water and cook pasta al dente. drain and add to sauce.

Serve and enjoy!
